Story Time
Join us for Story Time at 10:30AM every Saturday! We will read books, sing songs, and play games. Sometimes we will play with scarves, rhythm instruments, and props as we learn about movement, sounds, and nursery rhymes. All ages are welcome and parents and caregivers are encouraged to join the fun!
Story Time activities support early literacy and foster a love of reading. Participating in activities such as Story Time contributes to learning, social skills, and school readiness. |

Benefits of Story Time
Story Time teaches your child about print awareness and phonological awareness. As your child follows a story, they learn narrative skills, sequences, and vocabulary to help them describe and understand the world around them.

Music and movement during Story Time teach your child
rhythm and help with motor skills. Singing slows down words and helps your child with enunciation. |
Story Time helps
prepare your child for school by letting them practice skills such as listening, following instructions, and participating in activities. |
Story Time provides socialization and enrichment for
children and adults. You are welcome to join the fun during Story Time and bond with your child. |
Research shows that reading is the most important factor in academic success. In addition to attending Story Time, you can read to your child at home. The library has lots of wonderful books available to check out for your own Story Time.
