Comics Workshop for Kids
Artists assemble! Join us for an amazing comics workshop with local comic book artist Jerry Bennett! The workshop will teach kids ages 8 through 12 about developing interesting characters and stories for their own comics. Participants will be given materials and templates as well as expert instruction in creating comics.

About Jerry BennettJerry Bennett is a full time comic book artist, illustrator and art director currently drawing Glamorella’s Daughter with co-creator Charles J. Martin for Literati Press Comics, and also writing and illustrating his own graphic novels. He was the 2018-19 Paseo Arts Association artist in residence at the historic Skirvin Hilton teaching the comic art process and creating gallery comic art. He recently finished the 2021-22 Artist in Residence at the University of Science and Arts in Oklahoma, where he taught illustration and mentored advanced students. Jerry is the Illustrator Coordinator for the Oklahoma/Arkansas region of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators.
