About Us
The Tuttle Library was founded in 2014 by a group of citizens who wanted a library for the community of Tuttle. Under the supervision of the Friends of the Tuttle Public Library board, the library was operated only by volunteers and supported entirely by donations from the community. In 2018, the library hired its first librarian, Vivian Sloan.
Currently, the library is funded entirely by donations and grants. In order to help pay for the library’s operating costs, patrons pay a $5 annual membership fee for library cards.
On December 13, 2021, the City Council and Mayor of Tuttle approved the FY 2022 budget for the City of Tuttle, which includes funding for a municipal library. The Tuttle Library will transition into a municipal library sometime in 2022.
The mission of the Tuttle Library is to serve the Tuttle community and surrounding areas by providing access to information, technology, and reference services to its patrons.
